Carlos González Director
Mr. González graduated as a JD from University of Costa Rica in 1991 and then achieved a joint Master’s degree in Law and Business Administration at Northwestern University School of Law and Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, Illinois.
He has practiced law for 17 years, including as co-founder of Gonzalez & Uribe, law firm established in 2001. Today, he runs the Banking and Finance Department and the Structured Products Department. Furthermore, Mr. González has represented well-known FORTUNE 500 companies and has been involved in cross-border transactions abide by Rule 144A and Regulation S of the US Securities Act. In addition, Mr. González has participated in and led complex cross-border real estate transactions.
In 2002, during President Abel Pacheco Administration, Mr. González was appointed as the Treasury Deputy Secretary. As a result, while in office, the Treasury Department, the Revenue Service and the Customs Authority reported directly to him.
Mr. González founded three real estate companies operating in Latin America and all of which he has chaired since their incorporation:
- Stewart Title Latin America, with offices in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean
- Century 21 Central America, which holds the exclusive master franchise rights of Century 21 for 7 countries in Central America, including Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Belize
- Sotheby’s International Realty – Mexico, which holds the exclusive master franchise rights of Sotheby’ International Realty for Mexico
Manfred Kissling Director
Founder and CEO of OBS, company providing Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) to the pharmaceutical, banking and service industries from Costa Rica to the United States. In addition, Mr. Kissling is the Director of Sustainable Markets Intelligence Center (CIMS), a non-profit organization specialized in providing market information services related to environmentally superior and socially responsible products and services. In 1994, Mr. Kissling started the Costa Rican RostiPollos franchise and since 1999 he has served as the Vice-President of Corporación RostiPollos. Before that, Mr. Kissling held the Director General position at the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica, a non-governmental trade promotion organization. At that time, he was responsible for the export capacity building, trade facilitation and Costa Rica Free Trade Zones (FTZ) management. He has an MBA degree from INCAE Business School and a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue University.
Randolf Kissling Director
Mr. Kissling is Costa Rican; he holds an MBA degree from INCAE Business School and graduated from Purdue University as an Industrial Manager. Nowadays, Mr. Kissling is the CEO of Aura Interactiva, a company devoted to developing technology-based knowledge and learning solutions for multinational corporations and governmental institutions with offices in 10 countries throughout the Americas. Mr. Kissling is the Chairman of Futurekids Costa Rica, part of a global organization focused on creating learning communities constituted by students, teachers, schools and families. He is also CEO of Educational Technology Consulting, a company that promotes skills-based mass certification in IT and language skills. Moreover, Mr. Kissling is Vice-Chairman of CAMTIC, a non-profit organization that brings together the Information Technology and Communication sector in Costa Rica. Between 1996 and 1998, he worked as Bain & Company consultant. Additionally, Mr. Kissling worked as banking, insurance, airline, and bulk sales consultant. He currently serves as a Chairman of various boards in the restaurant, outsourcing, logistics and software development sectors.
Daniel Robert Director
Daniel Robert has 25 years of executive experience in the media business. He is currently Corporate VP of GRUPO NACIÓN, the largest media company in Costa Rica, with over $100 million in sales and 1400 employees. GRUPO NACIÓN has a wide portfolio including LA NACIÓN newspaper, an opinion leader and main advertising channel, AL DIA and LA TEJA newspapers, and several broad distribution magazines, including Perfil, the largest readership magazine in Costa Rica, three radio stations, two financial weekly magazines -one in Costa Rica, EL FINANCIERO, and the other one in Panama, CAPITAL FINANCIERO- among others.
Mr. Robert is also CEO of the main roasted chicken franchise in the country, named Rostipollos, in the country, with more than 25 years of operations. During the last ten years, he has also been the Board of Directors Treasurer of one of the main high schools in Costa Rica, Blue Valley. Mr. Robert holds an MBA degree from INCAE Business School.
